Facility Management System for a Multi-storied Building

We are currently building a Facility Management System for a client.

Client

Residents of a multi-storied building in Kolkata.

We have built the following modules and have aggressive plans to build several other modules to make the management easy for the apartment owners and the management team.

Complaints Management

The apartment owners and residents can lodge a complaint about a facility not working in their flat, like plumbing or electricity faults. They can also post a complaint about the common areas like lift area, garden area, parking section, community hall, club, etc.

The authorised management team member gets an alert immediately and can assign the task to a proper service provider (own staff or contractor). Once the problem is rectified, the complaint is marked as completed and a request is sent to the complainant to approve the same.

If the problem is not resolved within a given number of days, the matter is escalated to the director of operations. Similarly, the resident is reminded to approve the work done if he or she does not do the same within a given number of days.

Thus, the management of pending issues becomes much easier and the residents’ satisfaction level is also improved.

Future Plans

There are plans to develop several other modules and we will keep updating this post as we make further progress:

  • Booking engine for community hall and lawn
  • Regular cleaning and upkeep records for common areas
  • Staff payroll
  • Quality rating system for all the work done – maintenance as well as complaints resolution
  • Resource usage tracking and alerts for a big deviation from the standard figures.
