Access is the union of two routes — the document's department and explicit per-document grants — then filtered by the permissions of the user's role (Super Admin, Department Admin, Contributor, Viewer, Auditor). Users never see documents they are not entitled to.
Yes. PDFs, images and text/CSV open directly in the browser, and Word/Excel/PowerPoint files are converted to PDF for on-screen viewing. Restricted documents can be watermarked with the viewer's name and time.
