Symptoms you may be seeing
- Dealers in new territories never approach you, and buyers ring the factory for a stockist. No dealer page for buyers, and nothing for prospective dealers.
The moment it matters
A contractor in Nagpur has used your pipes on a job elsewhere and wants them for a new one. He searches for a local stockist.
What the buyer sees
A line saying "We have a strong dealer network across India", and nothing more. No list, no map, no phone number. A form for "dealership enquiries", with no word on territories, terms or support.
What it costs you
The buyer was ready to buy your brand. He buys the one he could find a dealer for.
Dealers you have not met yet cannot see what working with you involves, so the good ones approach the competitor whose website tells them.
What the buyer is asking at this point
"Where can I buy this near me?"
He is checkingWhether he can get it locally, today.
A good answerA where-to-buy page by state and city, with dealer names and phone numbers.
"Is this dealer authorised?"
He is checkingWhether the product is genuine and the warranty stands.
A good answerThe authorised dealer list on your own website, which a buyer can check against.
"How do I become a dealer, and which territories are open?"
He is checkingAsked by the dealers you have not met yet.
A good answerA page for prospective dealers: open territories, what you provide, the terms in outline, and how to apply.
"What support do you give dealers?"
He is checkingWhether carrying your range will be worth his shelf space.
A good answerTraining, stock support, marketing material and lead routing, described plainly.

Check your own website in two minutes
- Pretend to be a buyer in your second-biggest market. Can you find a named dealer there from your website, in under a minute?
- Pretend to be a prospective dealer. Can you find which territories are open and how to apply?
What good looks like
- A where-to-buy page, by state and city, with dealer names, addresses and phone numbers, published with each dealer's agreement.
- Enquiries routed to the nearest dealer, and counted, so you see which dealers receive them.
- A page for prospective dealers: territories, what you provide, and how to apply.
- Proof that the dealer is authorised, so buyers trust the listing.
How this gets put right
This problem rarely comes alone. It usually shares a cause with others on this list: a website written once, years ago, without the facts the plant and the sales team hold. Patching one page at a time seldom changes what a buyer concludes.
The AI Search Visibility Blueprint shows how far your own site has this and every related problem, how Google and the AI assistants read it today, and what to correct in what order.
