Trek ThumbDrive is a very small hard disk that plugs in your computer's USB port. Trek Thumbdrive can be inserted and removed while the computer is on. This USB thumbdrive is fully secure and immediately upon insertion of the ThumbDrive, you are prompted to enter a 15 digit alphanumeric password without which, you or anyone else, cannot access the data stored in it.

Trek ThumbDrive - a USB hard disk for storing your confidential data

Once the correct password is given, you can access the ThumbDrive just like any hard disk (with a drive letter like E:). Just pull out the drive anytime data is not being accessed and your data gets locked by the 15 digit password as we discussed above.

What are the system requirements to use a Trek ThumbDrive?

Pentium-based or better computer.

CD Drive to load the driver software (Once during installation)

USB Port

Windows 98, Windows 98'SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP

If you are not sure whether you have a USB port or not, look at the backside of your computer where all the cables are connected. Look for a socket that looks like the picture on the right.

If you do not have the USB port, you can install a special card (at extra cost), which plugs in the computer and provides two USB slots.

This card is called PCI to USB Adapter Card.
